Zara Spring 2010

This is Zara's spring lookbook
I have fell back in love again with Zara recently
I don't know why but it's started to become my new go-to shop
I am kinda having a wardrobe overhaul just now
and have been getting some really lovely pretty basics from there
I love this new lookbook
Nothing groundbreaking but that's why i like it
It just looks like classic spring wear
I think it's actually really refreshing sometimes to see a store not trying to copy the latest crazy trend but to just do their own thing and produce really simple but still beautiful high street pieces
I just adore the dress in the second picture
So feminine and delicate
But i could really see it working with more heavier edgier pieces too
I think all the footwear looks great especially the shoe in the last image
I love the styling of these shots to and i think the socks being just a little bit higher than ankle length is really subtle but it makes the look a bit quirkier
All in all i think Zara is doing really great at the moment
Chic but with a modern city vibe going on too
I can't wait to get my hands on some of these pieces
What about you, are you a fan of Zara and this collection?

Grazia Hearts Heathrow

This is a fashion spread from this weeks Grazia magazine
This was the first time ever that any magazine has used the new(ish)
Terminal 5 building at Heathrow Airport.
And to celebrate that fact there is a little video to go along with the shoot
Now anyone who reads this blog knows how much i love a little "Behind the scenes" footage
I love getting to see that bit more
Getting that insight into how the hair and make-up were done and seeing it all come together
I think that's why i love the extras on DVDs so much I have always just found it so interesting getting a sneak peak at the things that go into making the bigger picture, you know?
It's weird sometimes i actually enjoy seeing the backstage catwalk pictures of all the hustle and bustle more than the actual pictures on the runway, i always think that those pictures capture the atmosphere more!
Anyway, I really like this editorial
I don't know if its because of the kinda Top Gun feel of the airport or the structured clothing but i get a strong 80's feel from it.
I think the lighting is really beautiful because of all the glass in the airport
I love when magazines do something a bit different with their editorials
And i think using the airport as a backdrop is great
I would be interested to see if any other magazines follow Grazia's lead and use the Terminal in their editorials
What do you think?
Are you a fan of using unusual settings for fashion spreads?
Oh and i've given the blog a little mini makeover, just changed the colours and header etc.
Let me know what you think?

So, I'm super excited to be able to share with you one of the things i have been working on recently

The lovely people over at Cellardoor Magazine kindly invited me to contribute to their Spring edition of their magazine

I was already such a fan of the mag that i jumped at the chance!

So finally i can show you the finished issue which was just launched the other day!

If you are not familiar with Cellardoor Magazine it's an online mag for the young and stylish, mixing fashion, music, film and art!

It looks super pretty and girly too and always has such beautiful editorials!

I have put the whole magazine up for you all to have a read of

And underneath that i have put up the article i wrote for the magazine and then the two interviews i done for it too, so it's easier for you to find the ones i did!

I would really love to hear your views on the pieces and what you thought of my article specifically, It was the first time i have ever done anything like the article so it would be awesome to know what you guys thought of it!

I really loved my interviewees for the mag too

Especially Zara, i am such a fan of her style and i thought she said some really wise words too!

I just want to say a massive thanks to The Cellardoor gals for having me on board this issue, it was awesome!

Lauren Conrad For Kohl's

I have have been such a fan of Lauren since the Laguna Beach days
But i think recently she has really came into her own style wise
All those days stuck in that Teen Vogue closet must have paid off
I think she has got a really natural look but she manages to still look young and chic at the same time which is never an easy thing to do!
I was really pleasantly surprised when i seen her new Kohl's collection
Unfortunately we don't have a Kohl's in the UK
But if we did i would definitely be buying the top in the fourth picture down
I think its super pretty
But i think the whole collection is really well rounded and and is a true reflection of Laurens style!
What do you guys think
Do you like the collection
And are you a fan of LC?

Giles Deacon

Here is a behind the scenes look at Giles Deacons Paris Fashion week show
I have always been such a massive fan of Giles Deacon
I love how he makes such beautiful chic pieces but is never scared to put his own original quirky spin on things
And he always uses the most unusual patterns and colours but he always makes them work
I have also included some exclusive sneak peek pictures of pieces from his GOLD collection for New Look
I still remember when he first launched his first season with New Look
I was so super excited to finally be able to buy some real Giles pieces
I have bought quite a few pieces each season from his GOLD line and I'm always impressed by the design and quality
And this one looks like it's going to be just as good
Check out the video as well for more behind the scenes action and a lovely interview with the main man himself
Oh and can i just say how much i want one of those Giles T-Shirts in the 11th picture down
that his team is wearing, it's awesome!
Let me know what you think of his latest collections
and what your favourite pieces are?

A couple of cool dudes

Clearly Nicole is having an amazing influence on Joel fashion wise as they both look mighty fine here at the Oscars
If you read this blog you will know how much of a fan I am of Nicole and her style
I think this dress is just perfect, it's such a great colour and it look great with her dark hair
These two are definitely my best dressed celebrity couple right now
What Hollywood couple do you think rival them in the style stakes?
