Happy New Year

Photobucket

Sometimes I think that people get too caught up on New Years Eve about all the stuff they didn't do in the past year or did do and wished they hadn't, rather than focus on the fact that they've done it, they've conquered another wonderful year.
Through ups and down and pits and peeks they are standing strong and tall on another eve of a year that is filled with hopes and dreams just waiting for them to reach out and grab them.
So this New Years Eve don't give yourself a hard time for the things that didn't go your way in 2011 give yourself a massive pat on the back for all the things that did, you made them happen, you achieved them, be them big or small.
They all count.  Be Proud.

So congratulations on having an awesome year
and THANK YOU for helping me have an awesome one too.
For every person that has read my blog/browsed/looked at the pictures/commented/emailed/tweeted, you have all in your own truly unique way helped shape my year into a great one too.
It really does mean a crazy amount that you have choosen to follow and read my blog and hopefully it has given you some (fingers crossed) enjoyment back.

So beautiful people, here's to 2012.....

Hello Everyone,
How did your Christmas day go? Did you all have a lovely time?
I had such an amazing day, Thank you all for your lovely Merry Christmas wishes. It was a really great day filled with food, fun, laughter, board games, presents and pretty awesome people!

I wanted to share some of the gifts I got with you.  I LOVE reading other peoples Christmas posts, I'm just so nosey, HaHa! Hope you enjoy and if you've done a gift post let me know so I can check out all your goodies!

Here is a little selection....

1.  I have wanted a really pretty Dream catcher for my room since I done it up, I'm so happy with this one!

2.  My Mama got me this beautiful mask for my room too.  It's so perfect and fits in great.

3+4+5.  My sister got me a Vera Wang Princess Perfume set.  I had ran out and was so happy I got a new bottle.  Its definitely my signature scent, i love the vanilla smell of it.  I've never had a perfume pencil before but it looks pretty cool, it seems to smell a little bit different to the perfume in the bottle though? Have any of you tried one, are they good?

6.  Headband/Turban from Rock 'n' Rose.  I fell in love with it on their site.  It looks a little random here, but I'll do an outfit post with it on soon, so you can get a peek.

7.  Best.Cleanser.Ever.

8.  New movies to watch.  I have never seen any of them and they have all been on my must-watch list forever!

9+10 .  I read the first Dear Me book and I loved it, some of the letters are so beautiful!

11.  I am a little obsessed with all things Native American (see Dream Catcher above) and love the culture and find it so interesting learning more about another way of life.  I have wanted to read this book for so long, can't wait to start it!

12.  Another book that has been on my to-read list forever too.  I didn't really know which Sedaris book to start on so I just told my mama to pick me any.  I think they all look so laugh out loud funny.  Kinda Danny Wallace stylee, hopefully I'll like it.

13.  Am I the last person in the world who hasn't read this yet? Love James, think this looks amaze.

14.  My other sister got me this book.  It's so lovely to look at the illustrations and images are just stunning.  So many lovely tips and tricks on how to create a 1950's style tea party/hair-do's/make-up.

15.  Love Cath and her epic prints and Pyjamas, these are so pretty.

16.  This is such a pretty pin board.  My sister got me this, and it goes perfect with the decor in my room.  I'm going to pin different inspiration onto it each month, is it just me or do you all love making a moodboard/pin-board as much as i do?

17.  CHRISTMAS JUMPER. Enough said right? Love it!

18+20.  My mama surprised me majorly by getting me this Gold Aquamarine stone bracelet that I had been lusting after for so long.  I was beyond excited when I found this at the bottom of my stocking such a surprise and an amazing forever piece to keep, I haven't had it off since I got it!

19.  Some Gold Aquamarine earrings to go with the bracelet.  I am obsessed by them!

So there's a little peek a some of the things I got.
What was your favourite gift? And remember and let me know if y'all done a Christmas post so I can have a nosey!

Anastasia Brow Kit

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Fill them in, draw them on, stencil them in...It can sometimes feel like there is so many options to do with shaping your brows and most sound more complicated than the next that it's easy to just not bother with them.

That's what I thought until I just took a leap of faith after getting the Smashbox eyebrow kit from my mum at the start of the year and I started to use it.  Don't get me wrong i had some mis-hap's but nothing that some eye make-up remover and cotton wool couldn't fix and I loved the results so much that I kept persevering, that I now feel like my face is un-done if i don't have my brows filled in.

That's why I was so happy to be sent this new Anastasia brow kit to try out.  For anyone who doesn't know, Anastasia is the eyebrow Queen in America (she has even appeared on the Kardashians doing their brows). Any A-lister you can think of she will probably have shaped their eyebrows, to give you an example of how amazing she is Jennifer Lopez has said "She's the only person I let touch my eyebrows " And if the legend that is JLo is on board the Anastasia train then I'm ready to hop on board too!

So first off I want to say massive apologies for how grubby the case of the kit looks, it's completely my fault, i couldn't wait to photograph it before i used it and before you know it, I have it all over so, sorry about that!

The kit comes in two different shades the Brunette one which i have or the blonde one which has light shades.  But each kit comes with two different shades of the colour so a light brunette and a dark brunette.
I have pale skin and naturally have brown hair but as you know am now blonde.  My eyebrows are a brown shade and i would say this was a perfect colour for me using the lighter brunette.
My sister has really dark eyebrows and has naturally black hair and she has used the darker shade in this kit and it looked perfect on her.  So i think there is definitely a lit of lee-way on the colours.
I would say if you have red/blonde eyebrows go for the lighter kit but for all other types of brown/black shades go for the darker because the colour is really build-able.

As well as the brow shades you also get a highlight/eyeshadow to contour under your brow, a wax to keep your eyebrows in place, a brush, and some stencils to get a perfect shape.

I am so impressed by this kit, honestly it is even better than the hype around it (if you google the reviews you'll know what i mean) the powder seems a really different consistency to anything else i have tried its really really lightweight and it doesn't smudge and ounce when its on you face, not even when you get wet/sweat. And the brush is beyond amazing, so small and precise.

The great tip that Anastasia gives you with the kit is to put the wax on your eyebrows before your start, something that i have never thought of before and it works a treat at keeping it in place, then after you have put your powder on you put more wax on to set it.

The stencils scared me a bit when i saw them, I've got to admit.  They looked big and hard to use but with the 'Golden Ratio' rule (the instructions of which are included in this pack) it's actually really cool to use.  When i first got this kit i used it on my sister first to try out the dark colour and stencils.  We are both massive fans of Kim Kardashians big brows and Jlo's too so we hoped that the stencils would bring us nearer to our dream brows (yes we are that cool, ha!) You should have heard us when i had finished her brows we were actually whooping! Me because i was so proud of myself for making them so pretty and her because she thought she looked damn -right awesome with them.

It takes you a few trys to match the brows exactly when you use the stencils but after that it's a breeze.
I really wanted to put up a video of me doing my brows with the stencils to show you but i didn't have time today, but I'll get one up in the new year to show you all how amazing it is.

I actually just got my eyebrows threaded for the first time ever today after i took these pictures so i can't wait to use it on my newly shaped brows!

To find out more and buy Anastasia you can go to her website HERE.

What do you guys think?
Are you a fan of Anastasia?
Do you fill in your brows, what do you use?

Teenbook Magazine Issue 2

I am so so excited to finally be able to share with you the new issue of Teenbook Magazine I have been working on.
Can't wait to see what you all think, so without further ado
Say hello to Teenbook Magazine Issue 2........

The magazine has had a little makeover since the last issue, which i think looks amazing but lets be honest i am probably a little biased but I would love to hear what you think of it all?

I adored all the people I interviewed for this issue too.
Being such a Laguna/Hills fangirl it's always amazing when I get the chance to interview Lauren again and all the musicians I interviewed were so interesting and not to mention funny too.
If you get a chance check out Dan and Charlene's music....you won't be disappointed.
And even if you only have a couple of minutes to flick through the issue please please check out Dallas Clayton's letter.
I am the biggest fan of his work and was so beyond happy when he agreed to do this feature for the issue.
I love his letter so much, his words are always so simple but the meaning stays with you for so long.

Big massive shout out to the more than fabulous Sara for being a awesome Editor and creating a wonderful issue too!

Let me know what you think......?

Got My GoGo Philip On

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Some beautiful pieces from the awesome Gogo Philips jewellery that I was sent .
I am more than a little in love with this bracelet, i normally go for something a lot chunkier but I loved the prettiness of this and how intricate and delicate it is, always a talking point too as it's so unusual.

The earrings are right up my street and exactly the type of Harlem-chic that I love.  Give me a big gold hoop any day and I'm all over it.....!

I know i was sent these pieces, but please know that without a doubt i would have 100% bought them both.  They are in exactly the right price bracket  for this type of 'fun' jewellery and I would definitely recommend them.

I have been such a fan of GoGo for such a long time and I can't wait to get my hands on more pieces, they have some gold aqua-marine earrings that I can't wait to buy!

You can buy GoGo Philips in Topshop stores, ASOS, YOOX and on their own site too!

Are you a fan of this brand?
