Jacket- MUUBAA, Shirt-some random Scottish tourist store, Jeans-ASOS, Necklace-ASOS, Shoes-Peacocks, Cream Tee-Forever 21, Scarf- Italian Market

It is strangely humid here today even though it has basically rained all day. So i layered up as you can see!

I LOVE this jacket so much.
MUUBAA are legends of the leather world.  If you are considering investing in a leather jacket i would urge you to check out their store, The qualiy is amazing and they have the biggest range of styles i have seen. Some are kind of expensive but to be honest if you are going to be buying a leather jacket you are probably already prepared to part with some cash, although keep an eye out as Muubaa have some epic sales too!

I have wore it throughout last summer and winter, as i just love the shape of it.  You can't really see but its totally 80's with fringing on the sleeves and all over the back too!

Oh and can we just discuss Beyonce for a minute....
Seriously, she is just beyond awesome, huh?
Did you all watch her at Glasto.  I am so in need of a sparkly gold jacket/dress thingy now and i have totally broke out my Destiny Child's back catalog today...'Say my name, say my name...'!

p.s my eyes arent actually shut in thees pictures, but there was one ray of sunshine in the sky and it was shinnig in my eyes!

Sunday Show and Tell

I was born on May the 4th 1990
And this is the soundtrack (give or take a few) of my childhood
- Listening through the wall to my sisters blaring stereo
-Driving around in my other sisters first car, screaming out the windows to our ever changing 'favourite songs'
-Being at the local fun fair and not liking the pulsing beats of the dance music as your head spins and knocks side to side on the waltzers but now realising that music is what your memories are built from the most
-Sitting outside at playtime in primary school and having to acoustically sing with friends our favourite songs because ipods were only an idea in someones head on the other side of the world
-School discos and everyone doing literal dancing, if the songs says sit down you sit down
-Arguments over who would marry which Hanson brother
- singing pretty inappropriate raps for an 8 year old
-Sitting in the sunshine on holidays and listening to my Walkman
-Trying and failing to have an electronic voice like Cher's
-Believing that the vengaboys we musical geniuses

What is yours?

P.S For some reason Britney, N*Sync and co couldn't be added to the playlist but know that they and the Spice Girls were there too, also a couple of them won't seem to play but i kept them there so that you can check them out yourself if you want and finally Save tonight is a cover not the original but its really beautiful!
Oh and a few take a few seconds to play but don't worry they will!

Top- Dorthy Perkins, Jeans- ASOS, Shoes-Ash, Earrings- Urban Outfitters, Bangles- single gem bangle-Italian market, red string bangle- LMLMC, Four crystal bangles- Preshhus

This top really doesn't photograph well but its really pretty in real life.(No pun intended)
Its floaty and loose but the little belt fastening stops it from looking too big.  Also again you cant really see in these photos but it has the sweetest Indian inspired gems around the neckline, really cute!
I never wear tops like this with big patterns really, i don't know why but i like to stick to simple looking things but i made an exception for this one as i felt it had a sort of bohemian vibe going on.

I'm thinking of changing the name of my blog to black jeans as that's all i seem to wear on it now, Ha!
But i will change it up a bit don't worry, now don't get excited but i may start wearing my blue jeans instead, Ha!!

Thanks for all your helpful comments and tweets regarding my last post.
I got it all sorted out but my sister then received her order and only a few of the things fitted her, she wanted to return about £50's worth and again they said no, but thanks to all your comments and advice we quoted to them the Distance Selling Act a few of you mentioned and they said 'oh, OK we have to give you your money back now you have quoted those guidelines' They said basically no matter what they say, if you tell them they are breaking those guidelines and you will report them, that overrides whatever they say and they have to basically give you whatever your asking for!
How crazy is that, its like they are making up there own rules!
But thankfully we have everything returned now!

I'm off to watch Andy Murray hopefully get through to the next round of Wimbledon.
Are you guys watching, who do you want to win?
I love Nadal but i really want Andy to win!
Ah i want to go to Wimbledon so much, that is my aim for next year...I just need to find some tickets first...Ha!

Forever 21 Sale Rant

I know i don't normally do posts like this but i feel like i have to write about this.
It has made me so angry (seriously it takes a lot, I'm a pretty chill person) and i just want to put it out there so you don't get caught out like i have.

Last week I noticed Forever 21 online had a sale on.  I have posted about Forever 21 a lot on this blog and have also worn pieces that i have bought from there in outfit posts too, see HERE and HERE.
I haven't visited one of their stores in person as there is none near me in Scotland, so i have always had to shop online.

Before buying from them i saw a lot of comments made online about the quality of their garments and was a bit wary but honestly every single thing i have bought from them has been pretty perfect and of a similar quality of everything else on the high street, actually i would say their slub-cotton tee's are actually of a higher standard.  Basically what I'm saying is I've had no complaints...well up until today that is!

So I bought a load of items from the sale last week, the prices were great and i cant resist a bargain.
My order arrived today and after trying everything on i decided i loved most of it but wanted to return two items that didn't fit!

You need a code from their website  to return items, so as i was trying to get mine, it wouldn't seem to let me access it, i thought it must be something wrong with their site so  I phoned their Customer Service number to see if they could help me.
I got right through to speaking to someone and gave her my details after i explained the problem, she looked up my order and went "they are sale items"
I said yes they are, i ordered then from your current sale.
and she said "no that's why you can't return them, they are FINAL sale items"
I asked what was the difference between sale and final sale items, as when i bought from the sale it didn't mention it being a FINAL sale.
She said there was none and every sale was a final sale and that i couldn't return any of the items.
I couldn't believe it, i asked  her if i could at least get a credit note and she said "No"
I told her that it didn't say anywhere near where the items where or where i paid for the items that i couldn't return it, i told her i didn't even see the words FINAL sale anywhere either, she said on there CUSTOMER SERVICES page under the Returns and exchanges tab the following statement appears-

"FINAL SALES: All sales of Gift cards, e-gift certificates, cosmetics, jewelry and items marked as Sale are final. FINAL SALE items cannot be returned for exchange, credit, or refunds"

I explained that i understood that it was Somewhere on their website but that it wasn't made clear to me at any point that i wouldn't be able to return the items and that i really wasn't happy about it, after a while of discussing the matter , i asked to speak to her manager and she put me on hold, a few minutes later she came back and said they would make a one off exception to refund my money, I'm guessing because i was stating the fact that it didn't appear obvious on the site what their policy was.

I am sort of flabbergasted by the whole situation really.  I am so happy and thankful that they are willing to give me my money back as i appreciate that they do have a notice on their site about not being able to return FINAL sale items, but i really think its a completely unreasonable policy.

I know some (a select few, not many that i can actually think of as most will let you return ALL items, sale or not) stores will not let you return sale items, but that is fine as you have been in the store, TRIED the item on, seen if it fits you, if you like it etc and can make the judgement then and there of whether or not you want to buy it.  But none of those things apply online, you have to buy it to try it on and see if it even fits, so its completely crazy to think that every item you buy in a sale will fit you and/or suit you and that you won't need to return at least one thing.

If that is their policy and they are sticking to it fine, but if they had it in bold writing on the main page or the sale page or even at the checkout that said i couldn't return these items then there is no way i would have placed my order.  I understand that technically i am completely  100% in the wrong here and i should have went and trailed through there site to see there returns policy but really the way i see it, if it isn't telling me to read something or saying that they have a special or unique returns policy then why would i go and seek out the page.?

I am just so happy i didn't place a massive order or i would have been distraught about losing money on clothes that didn't fit!

I do want to make it clear that i understand that i should have looked at their policy and that it is very kind of then to offer me a return when they really don't need too, but for me it is just a way of tricking customers into buying things and not being able to take them back, like i said most stores have a pretty samey returns policy on sale items so i think its important that a store, especially an online one make it clear before you place your order that there's is different.

Also the main graphic above is what i saw when i was shopping the sale, no where on that or on the whole page did it use the words FINAL SALE so even if i did look at the C.S page i wouldn't have thought what i was buying applied anyway.
If you click through to SHOP ALL SALE ITEMS which i didn't do on the day i was buying, but if you click that the graphic below appears, with a teeny tiny asterisk and small print saying final sale, i looked for the matching asterisk on the page but there isn't one, so again on that page even though you would know you were shopping a FINAL SALE it doesn't tell you why they have asterisked the words or why you should investigate further.

I never write posts like these, and i hate feeling like i am complaining about stores because all i am really writing this for is because the sale is still in full swing and i just didn't want any of yous to be caught out too.  Like i said i really really LOVE forever 21 clothing and the irony is the bulk of the order i got today was beautiful but unfortunately now after this little 'misunderstanding' i won't be ordering from them again as I'm too scared i would lose my money, unless they make there returns policy clearer that is, i will just have to wait (fingers crosses) for one to open up in my city!

Out of interested where you aware of Forever 21's policy's and do any of you read the small print of the returns and exchanges before you buy online?

This would feed my flags-on-clothing/accessories obsession pretty nicely.
These are sweeet huh?

They are by Jeffrey Campbell (who else, right?) from Solestruck, which by the way, should come with a warning as after browsing it, i now want every pair of shoes that the site stocks....
and they have free worldwide shipping, what more could you ask for!

I really like Emma Stone and not only because we are name twins!
I think her style choices over the past few years have been really refreshing and bold.
I think the styling of this Elle shoot is perfect for her, the yellow dress is just beautiful.
Are you are fan of Emma with blonde or red hair?
I think she suits both but i am definitely on the red side?

Oh and check out the little video to go with the photoshoot its great. I love that magazine do this now!

Top- Forever 21, Jeans-ASOS, Converse chucks- Rubbersole

Sometimes I just really love wearing a simple outfit.
No jewellery, barely there make up, natural un-fussy hair, and some chucks on!

And when i want to wear an outfit like that, this is the top i always go for.
I love the material, it's kind of slub-cotton and really loose so it just hangs right.
Although it is just a little too see-through for day time so i always put a little string-tee underneath it for a double layer (and if I'm honest for warmth as well, I'm always sooo cold!)
Its kinda got a dropped sleeve which looks a little strange in these photos but it really helps that whole, effortless thing the top has got going on!

I do realise that i have worn these jeans in nearly every outfit post in the last week, but I honestly wear them nearly everyday right now.  The weather here is not very nice still and its actually got super cold as well as being rainy the past few days which means I'm still not into all my 'proper' summer clothes yet, so these jeans are perfect transitional wear for me!

Oh and are any of you watching Made In Chelsea.  It has totally filled my 'essex' void.
What do you make of it? It's really awful but in a good way, right?
I actually think they may even be a bit more entertaining with their crazy-ness!

Hope you have all had a lovely day X

Jacket-ASOS, Jeans-ASOS, Necklace-ASOS, Shoes-ASOS, Tee-Zara, Red string Hamsa bracelet- LMLMC, Feather earrings- Urban Outfitters

Wow, didn't realise till i wrote that little breakdown of what I'm wearing that I'm basically a walking advert for ASOS, i just can not resist that store.
And btw is it only me but when i see they are doing free delivery that i feel like i just need to buy something or I'm missing out on a discount, where in actually fact i end up spending  money on something that i was  never going to buy anyway? ah....!

I LOVE this kimono jacket from ASOS, I really wanted a House of Harlow one but because of obvious reasons (i.e I'm not rich!) i got this one as i thought it was kinda similar.
It feels so good, I know one of the major things people have against ASOS is the quality of some of the materials they use, and i was a bit dubious of what this would be like and if it would drape well but honestly the material is silky smooth and it feels like such great quality and it was only £40 which i thought was great especially as i had a £40 voucher to spend on the site and i got £8 off using a discount code and free delivery too, can i hear 'barrrrggggain'....!
