Forever Young

Hilary Duff and The Olsens were the teen stars when i was little, Lizzie McGuire and So Little Time were my TV shows of choice ( is it just me that can't get the theme tune to so little time out of my head now....)

But its been completely non-avoidable to ignore the Miley Cyrus's and Demi Lovato's of the world even though i was too old to even know what their TV shows where about.

But one Teen star who I've always thought stood out for her style was Selena Gomez, i always thought her red carpet style was head and shoulders above her peers and she seemed to be the only one of them who had the potential to breakout the 'childtstar' mould.

Her style has become slightly more experimental lately Ive felt, less body con minis and more young new designers.

So i was really impressed when i saw this new editorial from Elle with Selena starring in it.

I adore the styling so much and think she looks like a luxe 1970s moviestar!

I think this is definitely the direction that her style should go in, its mature without being old and still young without being childish and too 'Disney'

What do you guys think, Justin Beiber aside, what do you make of Selena, do you rate her style?

What Goes Around Comes Back Around, Hey My Baby

I got this sweater today from New Look, it was in the sale and was such a bargain at £12.
I love it, it's kinda just a sweater version of the Forever 21 top i have (that i wore a few posts back) but it fits really nice and is super slouchy and just perfect when you just want to throw something on quickly!
I also got a little sundress from the New Look sale as well today, which i had to change into when i came home as it was so hot outside.  I LOVE this weather we are having here at the moment.....I hope it keeps up!

My hair is kinda messy here, but the humidity is making it go a little crazy (i.e Big) as well as just having had it cut.  I don't know about you but it always takes my hair a few weeks to settle after I've had it cut and highlighted...a sort of transitioning period!!!

Ooh and after much deliberation I finally bought a Kindle yesterday.  I had some birthday money left over and i wanted to buy something that i would never normally buy myself and i have wanted one for ages!
I  was a little bit in two minds about it as i am such a massive book lover, like I have hundreds of them and i have always loved reading and there really is nothing better than the feel of holding a new book,huh?
But i just love the simplicity of the kindle and i could have all my books in the one place and the speed you can get them at sounds so exciting.  I LOVE amazon but it really annoys me waiting on books to come in the post so the thought of being able to have it in seconds sounds so amaze!
Do any of you have a Kindle, what are your thoughts on them?

Bringing Back The Blonde

I got my hair done yesterday.
This is the second full head of highlights so i am nearly back to being all blonde now...finally
I just need another full head the next time I go to the hairdressers for the underneath bits and then I think it should all be covered.
I'm trying to grow my hair really long, so it can be like this, so i never got much off of the length just a little trim.

I really love the colour this time, its much lighter and more ash-y toned.
I always feel much more summery with blonde hair, even it if won't actually stop raining outside!


This is just a chill-out outfit really.
I love wearing my fur collar on everything, i just think it add's a little extra to the outfit!
This sweatshirt is super cute, I got in the Forever 21 sale for like £5 or something....such a bargain.
And these floral trousers are just a nice alternative to my black jeans which i have basically been wearing every day of my life for months!

I LOVE this dress, V-hudgens is rockin' it!
I wish i owned like everything Gypsy 05 made that was either floral or tie-dyed.....

Adrianne Jewellery

A few weeks ago the lovely Annie from 'Adrianne Jewellery'  got in touch and kindly offered me the chance to pick something lovely from her store.
I must admit I was spoiled for choice as so many things caught my eye, the vintage-y style is right up my street.  I narrowed it down to this or the headband and as you can see i went for the headband.
I loved the Indian style colours and shapes and i just knew it would be lovely and i was right, it's even nicer looking in real life.
The beading and intricate embroidery stitching on the band is just so delicate and sweet looking.

Dear Motel

Dear Motel,

I LOVE these jeans,

They very pretty, actually no, scrap that, they are damn beautiful Motel.

Do you know what, they are even making me toss out that 'fashion rule book', you know that one that tells you not to wear stripes if your legs are like this or that, well you know what, i say who cares ,who gives a bleep what these stripes may or may not make my legs look like you know why motel, because I like them and I think sometimes peeps are so stuck on what 'not' to wear that they forget its a little women with a (pretty bad) chin length bob and dark glasses(yes, HER!) who make up these rules and tell us all what we can and can't wear, what will make us look fat or thin, like a pear or an apple or a tangerine, well dammit, i say no more of this....

What I'm trying to say is, OK so that Poncho may make you look like Ugly Betty (circa season one) stuck in a tent but if you like it, like really really like it then wear it,

Simple as that, its OK that everything in your wardrobe may not make you 'look' like a supermodel but if you 'feel' like a supermodel in the inside when you wear it then hey that's good enough for me.

Sorry to rant at you Motel but its just i imagine that many of your customers have stared adoringly at these little beauties on your site but may have been too worried about what those stripes will do to their thighs and/or any other limbs they have, instead of just buying them and seeing for them self's that actually it makes their limbs look pretty damn awesome because in actual fact they aren't as big/small/long/tall as the women with the bob wanted them to think they were!

Classified Cosmetics Review

So I wanted to share with you all some new make-up I got.

Its from Classified Cosmetics called Era Glaze spray on shimmer.

I have always loved hayden panettiere's makeup, she always has this amazing highlighted glow to her make-up and I tried for so long to find out what it was she used.  I LOVE my benefit highbeam that i have used for years and i really do think its the best highlighter and it lasts for such a long while, but i really wanted to try an all over face glow.

So one day a few years ago i was watching this fashion show, you know the one with Jay Manuel from ANTM, think it was called Style Her Famous, anyway they do makeovers in the style of a celeb you like, so this women wanted to be made over like hayden panettiere and jay was doing her makeup and he talked about her glowy/highlighted face and said that Haydens makeup artist's secret is Classified Cosmetics and showed this little spray can, i immediately wrote down the name of it and tried googling it but it turned out that it only sold in America, i periodically would check to see if it was selling in the UK yet but never had any luck until i finally found it on Beauty Bay.  I was so excited that i finally tracked it down and couldn't wait to try it!

I wanted to do a little review on here of it as i have searched the Internet far and wide and honestly i couldn't find a review of it anywhere, not even on YouTube!

I have to say I was more than a little disappointed with it when i first tried it, i honestly couldn't see a difference on my face but when i tried it again today i did notice it more.

It says to hold the can 20cm from your face and spray in a zig zag motion, it really does go everywhere, i had covered my head with a band and my hair was still sprayed.

Once you spray it, it covers your face in a really white mist, you have to use their sponge to remove it and then you are left with the shimmer.  Only downside is it never told you when i bought it you would need their 'special sponge' so i used a Liz Earle muslin cloth to gently remove the mist instead.

At first its a bit like whoa, i kinda looked like one of those human statues, you know the ones that cover themselves in gold paint.  But as i put the rest of my make up on it really started to fade and it actually looked really nice and i could definitely see the all over glow, but it does really pale you out so i put some bronzer over the top of it.  I use powder bronzer and that combined with the spray sort of made my face looks weirdly dry and patchy, so i think the next time i will definitely go for a liquid bronzer.

My verdict is that its a good product but it definitely takes some getting used to, it gives you a really subtle highlighted face, and if I'm honest that's not what i wanted, i wanted my face really really highlighted I'm just so used to my highbeam that when i wore this i felt my face looked quite 'flat'

I am in two minds whether or not i even believe this is what hayden panettiere uses, if it is then I'm clearly using it wrong.  If any of you know what highlighter she uses let me know.

I took some photos of me wearing it so you could all get a feel of how it looks on, you notice it most on my cheeks and nose.

I put some on my hand as its easier to see (do you see how the white mist has stuck to my hand a bit its weird if you don't rub it off quick enough then it sticks?!?)

Have any of you ever tried this or any other Classified Cosmetics products before?

I would be really interested to hear how you got on with this and if using their own 'sponge' makes a difference to the application and the overall effect?

Red and Blue

Is this not the sweetest tattoo you have seen?

It's weird there is something so feminine and girly about it, even though its such a simple design!

If you have read my blog for a while you will know that i am planning on getting my first ever tattoo soon and I think this would be perfect, just a few of the rings maybe two, a red and a blue one on my wrist

Time and Space

I want these SO badly!

Aren't they just the cutest things you have seen. Seriously they have the solar system on them....awesomeness or what!
I am much more of a chuck girl (in the GG sense and the converse sense) but i would totally go over to the Vans side for these.
I can see them looking rad with my denim cut off shorts and super pretty girly dresses!
The only thing is they seem near impossible to buy anywhere, I have only found them available for £45 (Is that slightly too expensive for a trainer, no?) in one store called Natterjacks that looks pretty awesome actually but they have it in one size only and that size is MINE.

I'm thinking its serendipity, what do you think, should i go for it and buy these babies?
