P.S If you have never checked out A/Wear before, you should take a peek.  I have ordered loads from it and the Jeans I'm wearing in this post are from there.  They also seem to have free delivery for all International orders over £30 on, so a little incentive too.  I'm such an enabler, Ha!

P.P.S Just a litlle disclaimer I haven't been asked by A/Wear or anything to promote them, I just really like their clothes, Ha!

The Fringe Benefits

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Fringes, Bangs, whatever you call them they always cause some drama, right?

I got my first fringe when I was about 14.
I think I just wanted to try it for a change, I got it, I liked it, I grew it out then started all over again.
And to be honest that's how the cycle has went ever since.
Since that very first fringe i have had some variation of a fringe, I think my face looks a little weird without it and I think it suits my hair type.
I tend to sway toward the side fringe as it flatters my face shape more i think but I'm going to the hairdressers this week and I'm going to take the plunge and go for a full fringe again, not because I want a full fringe but because I think the only way to get a nice side fringe is to get a full fringe cut and push it to the side...woah are you keeping up here? hehe!

This is what has inspired this post because before I am even sitting on the hairdressers chair I have already decided the conversation i will  have with the hairdresser about the fringe. I will have to make clear that i need it a certain length, a certain shape (it just has to be graduated down the sides), a certain thickness and goodness knows what else i will have thought of before my actual appointment comes around.

It just makes me laugh sometimes when i think of the effort and time most of us put in with the whole fringe debate.
Should I get them, Should I not, Will I Suit them, Should I push them to the side, Should I grow them out...
Ahhh so many questions....
And the funniest thing of all is when you get your fringe that you have debated about for weeks, it normally always takes the first person you meet a few minutes to even think what is different about your face but to us, the person who has just had this big chunk of hair cut off and placed on the front of their  face it seems like the most noticeable thing in the world, when in actual fact its not.

It got me thinking about our celeb friends who, i don't know about you but i use as my fringe-spiration at all times.
Who has the best fringes and who like most of us, has had some fringe disasters and can we, by looking at their do's and don'ts figure out a science of getting the perfect fringe?

I put together a post like the last one I did about Blonde VS Brunettes to let you have a little compare and contrast at the fringe dilemma and hopefully give you some hair-spiration of your own if you are considering a fringe any time soon.

So who do you think suits the fringes and who doesn't?
And do you take part in the fringe debate when you have to go to the hairdressers?
I would love to know.....

Sunday Show and Tell

Photobucket

I thought I would change up my usual Sunday Show and Tell posts for a little bit.
I LOVE when bloggers (Esp Una Bella Vita-Amaze!) do link lists of fun things they are loving right now so I thought I would take a leaf out of their book and do the same thing.
On a Sunday it's sometimes difficult to pick what video, image or quote to share with you'll as there is always so many amazing things to choose from, So this way it means I can share all the links with you.

I have picked some things that I have really loved listening too, reading or watching this week.   I hope that you enjoy them and find them as funny/inspiring as I have.....Let me know what you think?

1.  “I’m a geriatric starlet, my dear, don’t you know,”  This is what you call a Independent Stylish Lady.  She is wonderful.

2.  Just finished reading THIS book.  There was so much hype around it I just couldn't resist.  It was ok.  Nothing spectacular but .....nice, which is sometimes all you need a book bought on a whim to be right? It's super short so if you have a spare afternoon read it curled up with some hot chocolate, it's that kinda story.

3.  Really interesting article HERE.  I always wondered what OUR generation would be named.  Are we Generation Sell.  Can we make a business out of every hobby we have?

4.  Genuinely I have been singing THIS song for the past few months constantly.  I LOVE it big time.  It fits right into my love of 'Country Music' and 'Things That Are So Bad They Become Amazing'.  I defy you not to 'Shake It' by the end of the video.

5. Thanks for teaching me everything I know....  So True

It’s Friday, Friday

Dress- Ellos
Leather Jacket - Muubaa
Jeans- Motel
Fur Gilet - ASOS
Shoes- ASOS

Best British Bloggers got in touch with me a little while ago to ask if I would like to take part in a bit of a bloggers challenge which was to style this 'Little Black Dress' into a Friday night outfit.
As soon as I heard those three little letters L.B.D, my answer was of course....Hell Yeah!

So I think there is one blogger from each region of the UK taking part. i.e Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales.
And I am of course reppin' Scotland!

This is how I styled the dress and how I would wear it on a Friday night.  I never like to feel too 'dressy' if you know what i mean?
If I'm wearing a dress like this, then i like my hair to be a bit un-done and natural looking make-up to stop it looking too WAG-tastic.

I really didn't know what this dress would look like on as it's really stretchy and in a sort of smock-style. But when I tried it on, I loved it.  The stretchy-ness makes it feel really comfortable and the pleats and little frills at the bottom give it a really lovely shape.

It has two layers and lining so it feels a lot more expensive than it is at £39.

I ADORE my Jordan jeans from Motel that I got just before Christmas.  I really didn't know whether to buy them as at £48 I thought they were a bit pricey but I ended up finding a 10% off code (Thanks Google!) and as it was my Mama's birthday party coming up, I thought they would make a great b'day party outfit, which they did.
I'm so glad I got them as they keep selling out on the website and I know they would be one of those things that if I didn't buy i would always regret it when i saw other people wearing them!

Are you a fan of the LBD? And have you found your perfect one yet?

Let the rain fall down And wake my dreams

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I got this headband/turban from Rock 'n Rose for Christmas.
I LOVE it, it's so easy to just throw on and the colour is so super pretty too.  I um'd and ah'd over this rusty orange or the yellow but I'm glad i went for this!

If you have never checked out Rock'n Rose before then I would definitely recommend it.
I have bought so many things from there including my two favourite rings that I wear all the time on my blog.
The quality is really fab and the service is amazing too and they are always on Twitter to help if you have any queries with your purchase.

I sometimes find it difficult with jewellery/accessory stores online to know if the products will be as good as they look in the pictures, as there seems to be so many little online stores popping up all over the place and you don't really know which ones to trust but I can safely say Rock'n Rose is one of the good 'un's

(Yes the middle picture is blurry, it's not just your eyes! But I kinda liked it anyway, in a trying-to-be-all-arty way haha!)

Yellow diamonds in the light

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Kimono- River Island
Tee- Dolly Parton Tour Tee
Jeans- A/Wear
Converse
Hermes Bangle
Aquamarine Stone Bangle - Jewellers

I really am not a Sale shopper.  I LOVE a bargain, who doesn't right?
But i just hate the rifling through jumble to find the good stuff, that's why TK Maxx gives me the chills (although i have had some MAJOR bargains there when i have put off time to rake) But a few days after Christmas I happened to pass River Island and decided to have a wee peek at what their sale had to offer.
The shop was empty, It felt like it was just me and my mama in the store, which was probably why i found so many amaze bargains.  But we could not believe our eyes at the prices, everything was like  £2.50, £4, £10 and it was all really lovely new stuff not from 5 seasons ago or anything.

I picked up this Kimono that I had my eye on for ages at the fantabulous price of £8 it was originally £50.  The only thing is that they just had Lot's of random sizes left and mine wasn't there but i just picked the first one i could lay my hands on and even though its pretty big i love the loose-ness of it and it's the way i would want it to look anyway, i never like kimono style-over jackets to be tight, I was so super pleased with it.  I will show you my other RI bargains I got from the sale soon too!

Oh and you may have noticed that I have added some click-able sections down the sidebar of my blog.  I had realised that when I read blogs I love it when bloggers have their posts in sections, I find it much easier to navigate so if i just want to see all their outfits or just their videos or something then i can find them easily.  So i thought it was about time that i done this too.  You can have a little click around and see what you find.  I haven't gotten round to putting posts under a few of them yet as that means me having to go back and label EVERY.SINGLE.POST.....so yeah, you can see why i am putting that off but don't worry i will get round to it....eventually!!!
You can also find a little list of some blogs i love, link to my Twitter and also to my Pinterest (i.e the most inspiring site ever, right?)

Hope all you beautiful people are well and enjoying this lovely Monday...

P.S I have put up the link to the River Island Sale as it's still going on and there is still some awesome bargains, my Kimono may even still be there? Let me know if you find anything good!

Sunday Show and Tell

This is epic-ness on a whole new level.
I love that she even uses props in her routine....Amaze!

The gal busting out some moves in the video is Angela Trimbur.  She said she had just been through a pretty tough breakup and that's why she choose the song.  The video is from The.Best.Site.Ever otherwise known as HelloGiggles otherwise known as Miss Deschanel's site

Um... ok, so who is totally up for some of our own 'Dance Like Nobodys Watching' awesome-ness?
Hell Yeah...Meet you at the local Laundromat in 10....

New

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Purse- £5.00 - HERE
Bag- £20 - HERE
You can also get the bag in Grey HERE

I got a couple of little sale bargains from Urban Outfitters.
Urban Outfitters is one of my all time favourite stores and I always keep an eye out for their sales as they always tend to be a bit amaze.

I have been looking for a purse for so long, I'm so fussy with things like that.  I really don't like 'grown-up' looking purses, if you know what i mean, those big leather style monster-sized things and but when i saw this one, and the price i thought it was too perfecto to miss out on! Such a beautiful colour too!

Ah this bag looks like it has been used for about 20 years, I love that weathered leather look, it's such a classic style, I'll be able to use it for years.
I'm so happy with my buys!

Have you picked anything up in the Urban Outfitters sale yet?

Lovelorn

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I wanted to do a little post on my new favourite thing right now, which is of course ........Lovelorn.
I know this is already a favourite of many of you savvy lipstick buyers out there. But i am pretty new to all this lipstick business.  Up until a couple of years ago i didn't even own one lipstick and was a loyal lipgloss-only wearer.
That all changed though when i bought my first ever lipstick from MAC and I have been building my collection ever since!

My sister bought me this one for Christmas after my (subtle?) hints to her on a daily basis about how much i loved her lipstick.  She has worn this colour for a little while now and i have always thought it just looked so pretty, very 60's!

I think it looks way darker in the tube than it does on your lips.
It's really pigmented so you don't need a lot on for it to be noticeable but my favourite thing about this is that it's such a buildable colour.
You know how sometimes when you wear a MAC lip colour that is anything other than a nude shade you can feel a bit drag-queen-y wearing it during the day as the colours are so lovely and bold, well this one is a little different as with one coat its so natural and a perfect everyday colour and then you can gradually apply more for night-time for a strong pink colour.

The staying power isn't that great, but to be honest i find that unless I use a lip stain, no lipstick stays on that great.  After eating/drinking/laughing/talking i would say you would have to re-apply most shades and this one is no different.

I wanted to do two swatches of colour on my hand.  The light shade of pink is one application of the lipstick and the second is a few applications for a darker colour just to show you the variation.

Also the last picture was to show you the beautiful glossy finish the lipstick gives you, it's really creamy and moisturising which just makes it look even sweeter on.
Get ready to see this on me on here all the time. I just can't get enough of it!
Oh and if you want to see what it looks like on, I have it on in the pictures below!

Are you a fan of Lovelorn?
What is you fave lipstick at the moment?

Do You Dare?

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

This Jumper looks way better when your standing, it dips at the back and it's crazy cosy too. It's kinda became my go-to jumper when my Harvard one's getting washed, i really can't be parted from my sweaters in the winter time, I'm always just so cold!
You can buy it here from KRISP

Oh and Yep...your eyes aren't deceiving you.  I'm rocking some bunches. It's just how the 2012 me rolls...ha!
It's just a really quick alternative to throwing my hair up in a topknot when I'm working.

What do you guys think...
Are you all over the bunches trend too or is it too kindergarten for you?

P.s I'm going to the hairdressers in the next few days so excuse the intense roots.

Watercolour Blush

Photobucket
Do you know when you just get it in your head that you want something, like really want something?  You kinda go on a mission to convince yourself that you don't actually want it or actually need it, and then when that doesn't work, you end up wanting to buy the thing even more than before you started.
Well that's the predicament I’m in just now with the above little beauty of a product.
It the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blusher.

I had saw it in magazines and blogs for a little while but I hadn't been looking for a new blush so I never bothered really looking at it or finding out more about it.
Then the week after Christmas I had been thinking about maybe updating my everyday make-up routine with something new.
I don't know about you, but I wear the same 'day' make-up give or or take a few eye-liner flicks most days.  I love all the products I use all the time, I like to look natural but still glowy and it works so that if I want to change it up for night I can.
But recently I added a new bronzer to my 'everyday routine' which has then lead to me thinking I would like to try a new blusher too.
I have worn the same blusher for years, and I really do adore it but sometimes I do think it’s nice to change it up for a bit.

So after thinking that, what do I come by, an article about this blusher. And that was it.
I became slightly obsessed with finding more about it.
I have super sensitive skin, like majorly.  I have taken reactions to so many skincare/make-ups in the past so that’s probably another reason why I always use the same everyday make-up routine, as it is such a hassle splashing out on a new product for me to swell up after using it.
So I have been trying to do my research about this product and from what I can see, it seems pretty natural and good for sensitive skin.
Have any of you with sensitive skin used it before? Was it ok on you?

After going back and forth for ages about whether or not I should buy it.  I saw that Mr Sandler himself was going to be on QVC selling his products.
Have to put my hands up here and say I LOVE watching QVC when they have make up on it, I love seeing the make-up in use and I think that you really get some good info  as the make-up artists who created the line normally appears on it with the products too.
Also not gonna lie I kinda love just listening to the presenter be unintentionally hilarious trying to over sell the majority of their products, always too funny!

I have never used any of Daniels products before and didn't know a lot about the brand so was really intrigued to see him talk about his products.
It was really great seeing him use and talk about the watercolour blush and to be honest he totally sold it to me, as well as making me become a bit in love with some of his other products. The only reason i didn’t buy from QVC as it was too pricey on there.

The cheapest I have found the blush is £12 on Very.  I really want the Cherub as it seems like the only pink one he has, so I think I’m going to take the plunge and just get it!
Have any of you guys used it, what did you think?
Do you use the same make-up everyday like me or do you change it up all the time?
